Our Mission

Upon his passing, Ian’s family and friends decided to create the Ian Clough Explore the World Scholarship Fund as a tribute to his true passion and love – travel and exploration. Through this memorial fund our hope is to pass on his adventurous spirit, his love of travel and his appreciation of other cultures, history and languages of the world. Our goal is provide students with financial assistance to make their dreams come true with an opportunity to travel globally, experience their own unique adventures and meet other people around the globe. The scholarship will provide financial assistance for students who desire to participate in overseas tours or study abroad programs. It is our hope to continue this scholarship in his name for years to come. All donations made to the fund will go to this future endeavor.

About Ian

Ian Mark Clough was born November 21, 1991. He passed away on July 13, 2019. Ian’s great passion was adventure and travel. He loved experiencing other cultures, meeting new people, learning about the world and taking part in unique adventures. By the age of 27, Ian had visited four continents, fifteen countries, and numerous states on his quest to see the world. He was always planning his next trip and his goal was to see as much of the world as possible. He was adventurous, curious and a master itinerary planner. He wanted to see, explore and experience as much as he could during his travels, never wasting an opportunity to visit or experience something new and interesting. He was a true adventure seeker during his lifetime.
